THIEVES! They continued to charge my credit card for months after I discontinued the service! Charges come through on a quarterly basis-- they claim EVERY TIME that they were never informed that the service was terminated, even though they had been informed by phone, email, AND post! STAY FAR AWAY from these BRAZEN CROOKS!...

I am happy to recommend this agency. I have ordered a cleaner through this agency for 2 hours per week. She arrived promptly but did miss a few things the first time around. I spoke to my account manager and he passed on my concerns to her. The next week she stayed for an extra half hour to make up for this which I found very efficient. She has now got quicker and is able to do everything I ask for in the allotted time. They have been reliable and given me excellent service....

HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE PEOPLE. Seriously. Just go somewhere else. The cleaner they sent me was fine, and a sweetheart - but she told me they ripped her off and they certainly have tried to rip me off. Despite me cancelling the service when I moved house, they still charged me. By the time I was alerted, they had taken hundreds of pounds from my credit card and then refused to pay it back (in a slightly sinister and rather illiterate letter, they said I was in \'breech of contract\' (sic) and threatened to \'blacklist\' me...) Obviously, I\'m taking this further but save yourself a lot of grief and tedium and go somewhere else....

My current cleaner comes to my house twice a week. This is a third cleaner they sent me over the last 3 years. It\'s not ideal as I would rather to have the same cleaner for the whole 3 years, but the same thing happened when I used to find cleaners by posting an ad or through a friend. They left after some time and I had to advertise again. Now I don\'t have to bother with getting my answer machine jammed with messages from people who have never done cleaning before. The cleaners they\'ve sent me always have had experience. The standard of cleaning they provide is very good and if there is a problem, I can always rely on the agency to help me. ...

I am quite happy with their services. The person managing my account helped me when I had some minor problems with my cleaner. He talked to her and solved it in a very diplomatic way. Efficient and friendly service, experienced cleaners with reasonable English. I am a mother of two and I\'ve been using their services for over 2 years. I\'ve had 2 permanent cleaners over this period and couple of replacement cleaners when my regular cleaners went on holiday. Some spoke fluent English and some (especially the replacement cleaners) needed a bit of patience explaining what to do. However, all of them were very nice ladies who knew how to clean. I don\'t know how I could cope without them. I know that my current cleaner will not stay with me forever but I am sure that when she leaves, the agency will find me a new cleaning lady pretty soon....

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Whilst the cleaners themselves are reasonable, the service itself is a joke. For example, you can write to cancel the service but 6 months later they still withdraw money . No replies to emails ever, only rings back when threaten, no insurance. Read their terms and conditions on the website, they disengage themselves from everything....

This company has been very helpful to me. My regular cleaner has been excellent and my account manager so useful. He organised a replacement for me when my regular was on holiday and if I need to give any special requests he is always been great. The company is always polite and chatty which I enjoy. A very personable service...

I have used this company for about 3ys. Customer service is non existent. I have not received any refunds even though I have asked consistently. Cleaners are hit and miss but have met some good people and I am not sure what we pay the agency for as the cleaners have to reimburse the agency if they break anything! I have now cancelled the agency; called twice, emailed twice and now finally sent a letter recorded. They advised me in their email to acknowledge.. that if I use a cleaner from their db without their knowledge they will charge me £500!!! Is that even legal.. I have probably had between 8-10 cleaners sent with varying quality (one didn\'t know how to iron)and I\'m really not picky. My last one was quite good until I had some building work done and didn\'t need her for 5-6 weeks. The company told me my account had been suspended and I wouldn\'t be charged, but I was charged for the duration and two weeks when she didn\'t turn up (bank holidays). Despite numerous phone calls and attempts to find out the status of my account, nobody returned my call. I was told different things by everyone I spoke to. In desperation, I finally cancelled this appalling service. But they have still had the nerve to say I owe them money! outrageous. I have a young baby and am so angry, I have broken a habit of a lifetime and left a review. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not make the same mistake. It is about time this bunch of charlatans were put out of business....

I started using the company for a one off clean and was so pleased I kept the lady on for 2 hours a week. Everyone is very helpful and the price is very reasonable. It is so pleasing after a stressful week at work to know my home is clean and tidy and I have the weekend to do whatever pleases me. I really do not know how I managed without her....

I have been very disappointed by Amy Cleaner. Their customer service is dreadful - they do not return calls, they are unhelpful and even threatened me when I terminated our contract. The cleaners are fine but they change very frequently as they all find better jobs elsewhere. In 3 months we had 3 different cleaners. The agency fee of £90 is very steep considering I saw no evidence that they vetted their cleaners and couldn\'t provide me with a consistent service. Easier to clean yourself than use Amy Cleaners! ...

I had AMY in to do one of their spring cleans. I arranged it for when my wife went into hospital to have our baby. They were really accommodating because we of course didn\'t know when it was going to be. When the day came, my sister phoned them and they arrived with three cleaners and got started. One of the managers turned up to check how things were going and even he got stuck in. The place was gleaming. The inside of the cooker was like new, taps were gleaming, all the limescale was gone from behind taps etc. Every surface was clean, even picture frames computer keybourd. They even cleaned all over an exercise machine that had been seriously collecting dust. I\'ve never seen my wife smile so much (maybe it was our daughter) I didn\'t use them after because we found a local lady who was a bit cheaper and recommended by neighbours but I\'ll definitely get them in next year for the once over. ...

I have experienced great service with this Company. I\'ve used them 3 times in the past year for end of tenancy clean. All cleaners were very friendly and punctual and each time the job was done right. I only have to remember to buy the cleaning products. I have also recommended their services to my tenants. One couple have been using their weekly cleaning service. They have a very nice lady from Eastern Europe who comes every week for a couple of hours. So far I haven\'t heard any complaints about her or the agency. I will be using them in the future....

I only have good things to say about this company. My mother has been ill for a long time and is now confined to a wheelchair, they have been so supportive and the lady that visits is just wonderful. As my mother can drop many things now the house can get quite messy but the 2 hours we pay for is used most effectively and the house is always spotless. When my mother went into hospital for a month the agency was so helpful and froze the payments until she was well enough to return home, this was a huge weight of my mind during that worrying time. Once the cleaner called me the morning she was due to visit because her child was ill but these things happen and she made up the hours later that week. It is so good that with the reference checks that the agency implement, the lady can have a key to get in as my mother is sometimes still in bed and they make sure she is not disturbed. All I can give them is ten out of ten, the help and compassion they have shown me is outstanding. ...

Do not use Amy Cleaners they are dishonest and their cleaners are not criminally checked. I have had many things go missing over the years I have been with them and you are only insured if you have kept the receipt and have a photograph of the object (who does that !) also there is a £100 excess.....so annoyed ! and they will not give my un-used term money back !...

Hi All I can say is thanks so much for looking after me for the last year, I am so grateful for all your help and I am so sad to be going home to New York. I came over on business (I am a systems analyst for a US owned financial organisation) and due to my long hours I needed help, I was recommended this company and was mighty impressed with the standard of care I received. The online booking was quick and easy and within a day I was notified of the lady allocated for me and when she will be starting. They have also been so nice when I told them my time in the UK was over and I am going back home. I have a lot of expensive items in my apartment such as paintings and sculptures but I have never felt the need to move them for safety or security as the lady was so polite and the security checks I read about on the web site put my mind at ease. It is so good to come home after a hard day and crash in a clean and tidy home. The lady once went on a vacation but an alternative started the very same week with no problems at all. I am now going back to New York and I am sad to have left them. Once I have settled back home I am going to look for a similar service but I will be very surprised if it is up to the same standard. I wish I could take her with me. As a stranger in London they really helped me feel at home and have also reccomended to me a gardener and a taxi service when I needed them....

This is without doubt the most professional cleaning service I\'ve ever used. I had some trouble finding the right agency. When I called them, the customer service reps were extremely friendly and explained every aspect of their service to me. They sent me a very nice lady couple of days later. I showed her where I kept the cleaning products and explained to her what I would like to be done. My flat was a bit of a mess and I felt a bit embarrassed but she was very polite and made no remark about the condition of my place. Couple of hours later, my flat was spotless. She cleaned in and out of kitchen cabinets and the bathroom was scrubbed thoroughly. She did not manage to clean all of the rooms in the first visit but I was so pleased with the work she did in the kitchen and bathroom that I did not mind that at all. I used other agencies and the people they sent me were unreliable, quite often did not turn up at all and if they did, they did a lousy job. I am very happy with my current cleaner. Daiva went on holiday a month ago and the agency sent me another cleaner who was also friendly and hardworking but I found her English a bit poor. Reasonable rates, friendly staff...overall a wonderful experience! It\'s a shame they don\'t do carpet cleaning as well! ...

Amy Cleaners are the worst cleaning company I have ever come across in 30 years !they have no regard for customer services. Cleaners are good when they turn up however, if they do not then you will not get any refund or extra time on your contract. Basically you get shafted ! I would not recommend them to my enemy !!!! ...

I was recommended to use them by a friend who has had a cleaner for 10 months with no problems. I applied online and the next day a man called form the agency with the details of my new cleaner. I met her the night before she started to show her where all the cleaning utensils were and what I would like cleaned. The lady is from Lithuania so her English was basic but she understood what I required of her and she was very pleasent and friendly. I came back the next day and the house was spotless, I was so impressed. She had cleaned and tidied even more than I had expected and had certainly used her 2 hours effectively. I few weeks later the cleaner did miss a day because of a personnel problem but I was informed by the agency and she came the very next day. My friend\'s cleaner has since taken a holiday and a replacement was sent instead with no problems at all and I am sure if my cleaner goes on holiday the same will happen to me. My story is similar to everyone elses. Terrible service, cleaners are not sent and when they are they do not do a good job. You cancel the contract and they still take money out of your account. To top it all my flatmate went to their \'head office\' to collect our keys and it was just a letter box. When he called them they wouldn\'t give their address and had lost our house keys and asked us where we thought they might be. Really terrible save yourself money and time and do not use them!...

DO NOT USE AMY CLEANERS!!! They are absolutely awful and are very keen to take your money, but not to refund it when it is due! They are also not insured and have people in their offices who cannot speak English, so cannot discuss any issues with you. NIGHTMARE COMPANY!!!...

BE WARNED - Do not use! It seems that i had a similar experience as others. Initially i was very happy with the service and used them for almost 2 years. Times changed though and i no longer needed a cleaner. Having followed all cancellation procedures (i.e. written notice more than 1 month before renewal) as well as discussing this over the phone with them they still charged me for the next 3 month period. And now after many further phone calls / emails etc they refuse to refund. I also spoke with our last cleaner and she said she was also going to leave - they are not treated well at all. Play it safe - go anywhere other than here....

I\'m with Tammy and Phil on this one - I was with Amy Cleaning for about 2 years. At first found them quite good in terms of the individual cleaners that I got. Plus I never asked too many questions or expected too much from the agency itself I was just glad to have someone coming to clean for me. A couple of times I requested a refund for missed weeks - which were promised to me over the phone, but I forgot to check my quarterly payments in time, and then when I did check - the agency staff said they had no record of a missed week, so could not do the refund. It got really bad a few months ago when the cleaner I\'d been having started not turning up on the days she was supposed to, and then went awol (with my keys). I got plenty of reassurance from the agency that they were going to sort this out - but with no resolution. It took a great deal of angry phone calls from me for them to eventually resolve the situation. By then I\'d had enough, and decided to cancel my contract with them... which also proved to be a nightmare - they claimed not to have received the letter I e-mailed to them. I eventually sent them a signed letter in the post and by fax. Finally got confirmation that my contract had been cancelled - but was offered no compensation, refund, or even an apology... not that bothered about the first two but how much does an apology cost? I just want to quote the last paragraph of their letter, which made me laugh: \'saying goodbye to our clients is never easy and is a rare occurrence for us by we would like to wish you all the best for the future\' - yes, it\'s never easy, because Amy Cleaning doesn\'t make it easy - making you jump through bureaucratic hoops and not providing you with the information required to cancel. - A rare occurrence?? I\'m not sure judging by this forum - there are quite a few dissatisfied customers......

Warning - Amy cleaners are not insured - you will find this out if you try and claim for anything the cleaners break. You do not get a response from them. I am yet waiting to be compensated for an item a cleaner broke. Amy cleaners also do not do criminal checks on their cleaners and you wil be very lucy to get back money for anything broken or stolen. Amy cleaners are absolutely terrible, cleaners do not turn up and they do not reimberse you for lost weeks - so you are paying for a service that you are not getting ! Be very careful - they do not care about their customers or clients. ...

I found them through Google. My flat was in desperate need of cleaning so I called the agency on Thursday morning and had the cleaning done the following day. First I thought the girl they sent me was a bit young as I expected a mature lady but soon found out that she knew what she was doing. She was very nice, polite and left my place spotless! I have used other services in the past and find this company the most professional. I travel a lot so weekly cleaning would not be convenient for me even though it’s much cheaper. Their prices for one off cleaning are a bit high but reasonable. I am definitely going to use them again....

I have used this company for two years and will continue. The office staff are always willing to work with me at any time that my schedule may change. Vera cleans my house every other week and she does an excellent job. She is punctual , thorough and unobtrusive with her cleaning. She leaves my house spotless, smelling clean and new. Her English is not bad although there have been one or two hitches but she understands when I speak slowly or when I leave her a note. After all, English is not her first language. I think if anyone is looking for a good cleaning company they should give them a try...

I was looking for a cleaner for my mum. The woman with whom I spoke was very cordial to me on the phone and spoke with me about prices and details about the service, etc. They found a cleaner within a week. I interviewed the cleaner the next day. Denka arrived on time, she was very friendly, well mannered and started cleaning at my mum’s house the following day. My mum liked her very much, Denka really did a detailed job in the house. Few months ago she found a full time job so I called the agency to find us another cleaner. Compared to Denka, the new cleaner was a bit slow and not so experienced. However, after a couple of cleans she managed to do the same quality cleaning as her old cleaner. My mum now says only good things about her, she finds Sylvia completely trustworthy and she has given her a set of keys. I would have no problems recommending them. ...

These guys are awesome. I\'ve only ever tried one other maid service, but I had much better experience with them. They\'re not cheap, but I think they\'re worth every penny. I used them for spring clean and then signed up for a regular service. My first cleaner spoke little English and I had problems explaining her what to do but once she understood, she did a great job and my girlfriend was really impressed!!! She went to Poland for good couple of months ago so the agency found me another cleaner pretty quickly. She’s quick and punctual. I would recommend this company to anyone....

Professional and friendly service. I have been with them almost a year. My cleaner is punctual and I trust her completely, I’ve even given her a key to my flat, something that I never did with the cleaners I hired myself. The first weeks she was a bit slow and the cleaning took her a bit longer then I had anticipated, she also missed a couple of things that I put on the to do list. I called the agency and explained them my situation. They talked to the cleaner and the cleaning has improved rapidly. Absolutely great service. I have been with them for 3 years and they have always been quick in responding to any issues I might have. I have had 3 cleaners over this period. I do have to say that the first cleaner spoke basic English but did a great job. Unfortunately she had to leave after couple of months cleaning for me. The staff was very helpful and found me another cleaner within a week Jurgita was a nice girl and good cleaner but I did not find her ironing skills very good. My current cleaner Irina is a wonderful lady, she is punctual and friendly and highly professional. She cleaned places in my bathroom I did not even think to clean myself. Everything is sparkling clean when she leaves. I find their customer services very good and friendly, I like the fact that they have people managing various London areas. Irina speaks of them very highly and she seems to be happy working for them. She did go on holiday twice over the last two years for 3 weeks or so and they always found me a replacement cleaner. The prices are completely reasonable, I do leave a tip to Irina from time to time though. I have not had a problem with a cleaner not turning up for long. There was only one time that Irina did not arrive on agreed time so I called the agency and they quickly phoned her and let me know what was happening (it was a traffic problem) I would recommend that you contact the agency anytime you find there is an issue and they will be quick at sorting it out. I used to hire cleaners directly but I found out I spent too much time looking for the right person and when I found her, she left couple of weeks later or started asking for more money pretty soon while the level of service was getting worse. My friend recommended me this agency a year ago. They were quick and found me a great cleaner who had clearly a lot experience in this field. When she went on holiday 3 months ago, they found me a temporary replacement. She was ok, but I was very happy when my permanent cleaner got back. She is very thorough and organized lady with common sense. I did leave her a task sheet with instruction in the first couple of weeks, but soon it seemed unnecessary as she quickly got to know my house. She even leaves me a note if she is running out of cleaning products, very handy as I have a busy life style and I often forget to check! Regarding those good reviews below, do not confuse a good individual cleaner with the actual service Amy Cleaners provide. If you use Amy Cleaners you will probably end up paying for services you don’t get, and as a company they are unpleasant to both their staff and their customers. To their staff: our old cleaner\'s mother was sick (dying I think), so she had to travel out of country. While she was away they permanently replaced all her old jobs - basically putting her out of work. Not very nice. To their customers: try calling them for refunds. They say they will action it, then do not. I also got only one week out of three, and this was after phoning about four or five times. (Also this is not a refund, it is an extension on your current contract, a problem if you want to cancel their service.) If you try to argue their typical response is that they have no record of your conversations (despite using something called ServiceCEO software that should record this), then they say you should have sent something in writing and refuse to offer any level of customer service. Their charges: apart from not refunding customers, if you want to cancel they absolutely stick to their contract of one month\'s notice. Fair enough, you might say, but given their refusal to refund monies and the manner they deal with you on the phone you quickly realise it\'s to make a quick buck. I wanted to cancel because they were refusing to refund me missed weeks, they sent me the most threatening letter I\'ve ever received: 25% increase in monthly fees, £22 for each letter they send, £2 for each minute of phone call. Amy Cleaners was set up by a young entrepreneur who has since left the business, it has obviously seriously degraded in his absence. The bottom line: a seriously unprofessional bunch, there are much better nationwide franchises or simply individual cleaners you can go to who will be pleasant, offer customer service, and only charge you for what you get. My STRONG advice is not to go near them. ...

I have found them to be superb. I use them to look after my London home, they are very friendly, Janine my cleaner is lovely and above all I trust the company. I wanted to use one of the main companies with a well known brand because I had had trouble before with a tiny company that did not even have a web site. They come every week to clean my home, and if I am not there I like them to just make sure the house is okay, forward bills to me and so on. I have read the reviews below and all fo me it seems that it is the age old story of people not knowing how to employ a cleaner. I have been employing cleaners for over 30 years and always find that the quality of service you get from your staff depends on how you look after them. My staff always stay with me for a long time because I am nice to them and people I meet who have problems with staff alwayws have them either because they get too friendly and personal with them, or because they do not treat them properly. Anyway, I recommend them, they are a nice company and do a very good job...

I have had a similar poor service with Amy Cleaning and would recommend that no-one engage their services WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH AMY CLEANERS - I wish I havd read the reviewes before I gave them my money !! I found Amy Cleaners through my lifestyle management company. They come to me every friday and are very friendly so I recommended them at work to a couplee of my colleagues who also seem happy. My cleaner Jurgita could be a bit quicker but she is very reliable ad does a thorough job so I am happy....

Poor service. We have had four different cleaners sent by Amy Cleaners within 4 month of signing up with them. Amy Cleaners was very surprised every time one of their cleaners left and couldn’t find a replacement in less then 10 days – you still have to pay the agency for the weeks you don’t get a cleaner. We have tried to get compensated for the weeks we did not had a cleaner, but apparently this is not common practice offered by the agency. I therefore wanted to cancel my contract after 5 weeks of being with them, but got promised compensation and a better service every time I mentioned the word cancellation - on the phone. I was promised a supervisor coming out with the next cleaner to ensure the job would be done properly etc. Unfortunately the supervisor wasn’t available when the next cleaner started and I could never get anything in writing from the agency. Although Amy Cleaners insists that all their cleaners are trained and have references, the cleaners who came to us admitted that they haven’t had any training provided by Amy Cleaners. The fact that nobody at Amy cleaners could tell me where my next cleaner has worked before made me doubt that any of the cleaners came with a lot of references. I do believe you can do a good job cleaning without having to undergo training. Unfortunately only one of the cleaners who was send by the agency was able to do the job without supervision (she only came 3 weeks). The other three could not dust, vacuum or just clean the bathroom without detailed instructions and their English skills were unfortunately very limited which made the situation even more difficult. So a lot of trouble with the agency and you leave somebody money to clean your place although you end up cleaning your place yourself makes you really frustrated. On top of that two different cleaners had caused damage in our home within 3 month of being with Amy cleaners. The cleaner informed the agency who confirmed that they will take care of the damage. Unfortunately Amy Cleaners discovered later that their insurance plan did not cover for damage caused by the cleaner and Amy Cleaners therefore will not take care of the costs. The most obvious conclusion for us was to cancel the service. Although Amy Cleaners at several occasions admitted that they provided us with an exceptional poor service it was not possible to cancel the contract with them after three months. We were forced to pay them for another three month due to the insurance plan (– which does not cover any damage caused by their cleaner).
